The LBX is a stylish, compact SUVthat is Lexus’ smallest vehicle yet.
A sophisticated self-charging hybrid, the Lexus LBX competes with rivals like the Toyota Yaris Cross, Audi Q2, MINI Countryman, and the Volkswagen T-Cross.
In fact, the Yaris Cross can be considered a sibling car to the Lexus, as both share the same electrified underpinnings.
The hybrid powertrain marries a 1.5 litre petrol engine with an electric motor to produce power of 134 bhp and peak torque of 185 Nm.

The Lexus LBX can also be leased with all-wheel drive, which will make it more sure-footed on the UK’s potholed roads, particularly in the slippier winter months.
Meanwhile Lexus says the LBX is tuned for ‘enjoyable performance’, whether you’re driving around town or on winding country roads, ‘with faithful handling and a linear acceleration feel that is more closely aligned to the driver’s use of the accelerator pedal’.
While the LBX has small proportions, you can still expect a 332 litre boot, which is roughly similar in size to the Volkswagen Polo hatchback.
Meanwhile the LBX is also generously equipped, coming with a 9.8 inch infotainment touchscreen with sat-nav and voice operation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium sound system, and a full suite of state-of-the-art driver assistance and safety systems.
Even entry-level models enjoy pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with lane trace assist, and dynamic radar cruise control.
